What We Do
Pick your starting point.
Product Design & Development
Have a concept but don’t know how to make it real? We’ll help you sketch it, model it in CAD, and print a working prototype you can test, pitch, and improve.
Technical Education
Beginner-friendly workshops in 3D printing, electronics, and digital design, held around Sacramento. No experience needed.
Community & Collaboration
Through our accelerator and events, you’ll meet mentors, fellow founders, and partners like the SBDC who can help with your next step.

Christina Granados has spent over a decade in entrepreneurship, workforce development, and program management. Alan Ware brings deep experience in engineering, manufacturing, and product development.
They started Urban Technology Lab so that anyone, whatever their background, can learn the skills and get the tools to build something real. So far, 21 entrepreneurs have completed our accelerator across two cohorts, and we’ve given out 18 3D printers and 15 Fusion 360 licenses so participants can keep building at home.
